Historically accurate Panel Shutters
What Style of Panel Shutter is Right For You
We offer several styles of panel shutters that are all based on original designs. Our colonial raised panel has a deep relief to its profile which gives it a more luxurious and dramatic feel.
Our traditional raised panel has a more gentle profile and is found in many kitchen cabinets made today. Our flat panel, referred to as a shaker panel or gingerbread panel, fits in with simpler,
less complicated decorating styles as well as with homes with a more modernistic taste. The Philadelphia Federal style raised panel is unique in that in has 2 seperate layers of trim over top of a
flat panel. This results in a recessed panel that has deep shadow lines that draws attention. Like the original Phildaelphia Federal style shutters and doors, ours has a bead detail on the back face of each panel.
Not just Raised and Flat Panels
True tongue & groove or beadboard can also be used to give your panel shutters a more distinctive look. Tongue & groove panels, floating within your shutter frames, give a more
European look while our Beadboard is reminiscent of simpler times. While other shutter manufacturers take large glued up panels and rout in a v-groove or bead groove we follow the traditional approach.
Each tongue & groove, as well our beadboard, is milled as an individual piece of wood just like you would find on historic homes.
