Why Kestrel Tongue & Groove Doors?
Kestrel Tongue & Groove Doors are an old world style hand built using old world joinery methods. We offer full tongue and groove in vertical, angled and herringbone patterns, as well as variations with fixed louvers to allow for ventilation and other options. Each tongue & groove door style will lend itself to a variety of decors and can be customized to meet your specific needs.
|
Standard Features
- Solid Hardwood Construction to insure premium grade doors. We mill all of our kiln dried lumber to insure qualtiy. We never use MDF or finger jointed material.
- Pegged, mortise
and tenon joinery that is historically accurate and provides a door frame that out-performs dowel and
screw joints.
- 3/4" Thick
Tongue & Groove material milled as individual boards to give maximum strength and allow for expansion and contraction.
- True Custom Sizing. We hand build every tongue and groove door to your custom size so that they are a perfect fit. We never cut down stock sizes.

Applications
- Closet Doors - Tongue & groove closet doors will give a unique look to your room and can be combined with louvers to provide ventilation.
- Cabinet Doors - Retorfitting your kitchen? Consider our pegged, mortise and tenon cabinet doors fitted with tongue & groove.
- Bathroom Doors - Our tongue & groove with louver doors allow air flow while providing privacy. Where a high humidity is a concern we can build your doors out of Spanish Ceder or Honduran Mahogany.
- Interior Doors - Enhance your rooms with our tongue & groove interior doors. For a truly dramatic effect consider a herringbone pattern in our tongue & groove.
- Wardrobe Doors - Retrofit that old wardrobe or book shelf with a new pair of Kestrel tongue & groove doors and give your room a whole new look.
- Utility Room Doors - Where soundproofing is a concern, such as with laundry and utility rooms, our tongue & groove doors are ideal. However, certain appliances, such as furnaces and wine coolers, require a minimum amount of airflow to prevent the motor from overheating and failing. If this is the case consider our combination louver over tongue & groove doors.
